At a young age, Jos was selected for the prestigious academic Double Remove Program. Starting at age eight, this experimental program involved an extremely intensive, accelerated course of academic studies. All course materials and examinations were set and adjudicated by the combined boards of Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Effectively, Jos completed two years of academic studies every calendar year.
At age ten, Jos missed most of a year of school due to being hospitalized due to a traffic accident. After six months in the hospital he went through extreme physical rehabilitation to learn how to walk again and was given private academic tutoring until he caught back up on his academic studies. Still, he was able to qualify to resume Double Remove Academic Program upon his return to Gilling.
- Achieved approximately twice the national average number of O-Level qualifications in multiple subjects with top grades, three to four years earlier than normal

2009 ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES, England
Project engagement with one of Europe’s foremost reclamation facilities in conjunction with US interior design firm. Sourced and prepared special signature 200 plus year old reclaimed oak for interior build out and furnishing of new three story flagship location for Starbucks Coffee in London, England.
2004 to 2009 BUILDING DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, RESTORATION, RECLAMATION
General Contractor in Florida and Tennessee. Developed and built boutique communities. Designed and built multiple, unique residential and commercial properties. Also specialized in one of a kind architectural feature elements like post and beam construction, flying galleries off multiple story tree features, large scale signature stonework, signature woodwork elements, unique staircases, furniture and fixtures.
During 2004 did extensive insurance restoration work in Florida after four hurricanes – over 300 single family homes, luxury condominium buildings, schools, churches. Interfaced with insurance adjusters, government officials, home and building owners. Handled some of largest commercial building and residential community insurance restoration projects in the US.
Also did multiple historical restorations and conversions of historical commercial buildings to luxury condominiums. Developed large scale architectural reclamation facility. Combined operations included over 90 employees.
2001 to 2003 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Built firm specializing in business development and product launches, intellectual property protection, capital acquisition, marketing and sales for products ranging from high performance parts for airplanes and boats to geo-technical membrane lining systems and special agricultural particle charging spray technology.
1991 to 2001 ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
Founded full service advertising agency which grew to handle over 500 clients with several offices around the US. Maintained 100% client retention and 100% new client acquisition closing ratio for multiple consecutive years. Developed full, in–house range of services from all aspects of creative to PR, digital graphics, digital audio, video production, etc. Also developed Direct Response advertising division.
Developed coop advertising industry changing campaign for a national manufacturer to increase value and profitability of its dealer sales through a national Builder Upgrade Program. Program launched through market by market seminars to 50 to 250 dealers at a time. Included full individual dealer advertising and marketing support programs, showroom and building designs for hundreds of dealers across the US. Manufacturer could not keep pace with demand created by program.
Clients ranged from manufacturing to entertainment, hospitality, automotive, banking, construction and more.
Helped create and secure full national sponsorship for NASCAR racing team. Performed multiple business development engagements for various clients.
1986 to 1981 ADVERTISING – TCI
Account Executive, Producer/Director, responsible for multiple television advertising marketplaces in the Southeast US.

1984 to 1986 ADVERTISING – TeleScripps/Scripps Howard
Account Executive, Producer/Director. Responsible for developing new phenomenon of cable television advertising. Developed new advertising markets across Southeast US. Part of select group that was brought into TCI during buyout.
Worked on Cherry Coke product re-launch campaign with Miller-Reid, Coca-Cola’s in-house advertising agency. Cherry Coke re-launch targeted 18-34 year olds which made it a natural fit with the then in its hay day MTV. Negotiated matching 100% prime time bonusing on MTV in target launch markets which doubled the value and effectiveness of the Cherry Coke re-launch media budget.

1979 BUILDING AND RESTORATION
Gained invaluable experience working with estate workman on all aspects of restoring and maintaining mostly tudor, historically listed buildings. Learned building arts like post and beam construction, dry stone walling, all aspects of historical construction.
